This home enjoys effortless ski access onto a groomed private trail in Deer Crest, a gated community that is ideally positioned for convenient access to downtown Park City and Deer Valley’s new East Village. When you live here, you can reach the Salt Lake International Airport with no stoplights or traffic. There is also a private airport nearby in the Heber Valley. Inside, the views are fantastic and look south to Bald Mountain and southeast to the brand-new ski runs and chairlifts that are opening this coming season as part of Deer Valley’s significant expansion. The home was designed by KA Architecture from Bozeman who specialize in legacy mountain residences, and it was built in 2013 by McNulty Construction who are known for their expert craftsmanship. The opportunities for hosting and entertaining are excellent, with over 10,000 square feet and seven en-suite bedrooms thoughtfully arranged for privacy. The family room and theater are tucked far away on the lower level so you won’t be disturbed if your kids and their friends are getting rowdy. An elevator provides main-level living which includes the ski room. In fact, your friends can practically ski right to your backdoor for hot chocolates and aprés. Located just below the top of Little Baldy Peak, skiing to the house is very straightforward and there are multiple groomed trails that you can take to reach the Jordanelle Express Gondola at the bottom of the hill. You can also ski to the Mountaineer Express chairlift if you take the trail that runs right behind the property. This home has many desirable features like radiantly-heated floors, a heated driveway, central air conditioning, a temperature-controlled wine room, sauna, five indoor fireplaces, and two heated outdoor patios. The south-facing patio is a fabulous spot to take in the views and have s’mores gathered around the fire pit. Deer Crest allows short term rentals, however this home has never been rented. The community is in the process of constructing an Amenity Park with pickleball courts and there are excellent summertime trails for hiking and mountain biking. Open houses are not allowed in Deer Crest, so this home will be shown by appointment only.
